Cedar Ridge Reads

Each October, Cedar Ridge has a read-a-thon to raise money for teacher wish lists.  These wish list items can be anything that enhances a classroom – from leveled readers to the zoo-mobile.  Last year, after participating in our first ever read-a-thon, we were able to fund each and every wish that was asked!  This was the first time that has ever been done.  As a result, every single child at Cedar Ridge directly or indirectly received educational materials.  On top of that, our students collectively read over 750,000 minutes during the month of October!  What a way to get back into reading after summer!  Thank you to all the parents, students, volunteers and teachers that worked so hard to make the read-a-thon a huge success!

Cedar Ridge Carnival

Each spring the school hosts a carnival to raise funds for our school.  This is a family friendly, fun night that raises money to support the PTO and many activities throughout the year.  There are games galore, crazy hair stations, face painting, prizes, raffles and delicious food at the carnival.  Be sure and attend this event – the kids wait for it all year long and it never disappoints!  Thank you to all the many volunteers and staff that make the carnival a success!
